Listen: Exploring Latino Culture in HBO's 'Looking'

A few weeks ago, HBO digital and social media editor Tanner Stransky asked me to be a part of an upcoming Looking season 2 podcast addressing the depiction of the gay Latino experience in the fifth episode of the season, which just aired last night. The podcast includes the far more insightful commentary of Raul Castillo, the actor who plays Richie, and Tanya Saracho, the show writer who also played Richie's feisty prima Ceci in the episode. Listen up!

This was the second time I had the privilege of chatting with Raul and Tanya, two longtime friends and collaborators. I interviewed them both for my column on Looking's racial diversity.

p.s. The end of this episode is where Ghost Cherry's magnificent cover of "Finally" is featured.
