Inside James Franco's Kinky East Village Bash

This week, James Franco finally came out and confessed he was, in fact, gay. Sort of. Sometimes. Who knows? WHO CARES?

Last August the queer-curious actor threw a party at the East Village gay hotspot, Eastern Bloc, to celebrate the documentary he produced about the infamous Kink porn studio. Kink is the world's prominent producer of BDSM, kink and fetish porn -- both gay and straight (just like Franco!) Kink’s studios are headquartered in the San Francisco Armory, a 200,000 square-foot 1914 reproduction of a Moorish Castle that served as a National Guard Armory and Arsenal until the 1970's. Talk about pulling out the big guns.

The party was festive and fleshy, thanks in large part to HBIC Amanda Lepore, DJ Frankie Sharp, and a bunch of characters that would have made SNL's Stefon gasp with delight. Shenanigans aside, it was a rather exclusive affair and the guest list was tighter than a Swedish butthole. Party organizers and Franco's heavyweight Hollywood PR team went insofar as to pull an Alanis Morissette on Gawker and got them uninvited. An un-for-tuuuuuuuuun-aaate slight.

Kink's marketing director Matt Slusarenko was kind enough to share these pictures with us. Gay or straight, we just want to have a good time (all the time).
