For New Yorkers, September has been a real drag. This month, New York City became the ultimate runway for the world’s most sickening drag queens and the people who love them. Three drag festivals all took place within a few weeks, snatching wigs left and right, from Pier 17 to Flushing Ave.

It all started with Wigstock, the groundbreaking drag festival that came back from the dead thanks to Lady Bunny and Neil Patrick Harris. The following weekend, drag took over Brooklyn in the form of Bushwig, where quirky, artsy drag queens like Sasha Velour and Aja took center stage. Then the last weekend in September came RuPaul’s Dragcon, the convention dedicated to all-things RuPaul’s Drag Race where All-Stars fan favorite Alyssa Edwards and season 10 winner Aquaria left the crowds gagging.

If you couldn’t snatch last minute tickets to New York City to see all these amazing queens in action, there’s always next year. In the meantime, check out these photos and videos.
