NYC hotspots brimming with style
New York Fashion Week is upon us and – as always during the first weekend in September – the stylish vibes are bound to overflow from the runway to the streets of NYC.
Here are some of our favorite New York City places with their signature style. Some become go-to Fashion Week after-party hotspots. Some attract a chic crowd year-round. But magically, during #NYFW they all somehow manage to become even more fashionable.
This intimate disco paradise in the Lower East Side gets even foxier on Thursday nights for its one-of-a-kind Foxy party. Forgot your bling back home? Foxy turns ET AL.’s coat check into a dressing room full of vintage glam from consignment shop What Goes Around Comes Around that party-goers can rent for the night or take home for good. Recently, Givenchy turned this place into a ball pit.
Gramercy Park Hotel
The one thing you can count on during New York Fashion Week is that some fun party will undoubtedly descend on the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Up in the rooms, the love for fashion continues, with custom Evian bottles designed by none other than Alexander Wang.
Gitano Jungle Room
From Tulum, with love. The Gitano Jungle Room is laidback luxury at its finest, with decor, menu and vibe that will transport you to an exotic, faraway place. Then, as you sip on your Intelligentsia coffee and glance around at the stylish clientele, you’ll suddenly realize you’re right smack at the center of NYC’s see-and-be-seen scene.
Stepping into this unmarked Chelsea townhouse is like stepping into an elegant fairy tale. It’s no surprise that Norwood, a private club for creative types, has become the second home of the fashion-forward. Founder Alan Linn recruited Alexander McQueen’s set designer, Simon Costin, to help decorate the interiors.
Top of the Standard
When in doubt, head to the Top of the Standard. Rain or shine. Fashion Week or not. Chances are there is something fabulous happening at this NYC hotspot that continues to draw a fun-loving crowd 365 days a year.
While We Were Young
This restaurant in the West Village is the definition of Instagramorous. And the cocktails and desserts are just as Instagram-worthy. No surprise that the millennial pink palace has been called the chicest place to hang out during #NYFW.
Looking to be transported into another place and time? Look no further than The Box in the Lower East Side. Manhattan’s modern-day take on the Moulin Rouge shines a spotlight on burlesque, cabaret and performance art. During Fashion Week, checking out The Box is a must for anyone looking for a fashion freak show.
